So I went jogging today, and by jogging, I mean I ran for a little while and had to stop. I bundled myself up in two pairs of undewear, pajama pants, and exercise shorts over that, and then a shirt, a thermal, and the black hoodie I've kept since high school that I used to run in before. Oh and a hat. It started out great, because of how cold my body started in the beginning of the run, but by the time I hit the bridge on Belmont on Western I was overly hot. The body heat was just getting trapped and caused me to walk a lot. The wind also hit my face pretty hard, my eyes specifically, so much so that I might have popped a blood vessel. Which is weird because I didn't feel it, I just saw it in the mirror when I cleaned myself up later.
This running thing is a part of the new years resolution. I went to a running shoe shop yesterday and picked up a pair of shoes. It was Fleet Feet up in Lincoln Square if anybody knows the place. They were more expensive then I liked them to be, but I still had some cash after buying the boots I wanted from the Christmas money I had. I really didn't buy myself anything else beyond Skyrim, so I decided it would be running shoes. Anyway, as I was walking back a took a few pictures with my phone, I kept it on me to listen to music, and like a two mile trek with Rabbit Habits by Man Man is pretty okay by me.
I think if I keep up with jogging, I'll make it part of this too, and take some pictures and post them up, trying to run to different areas and take some pictures. Might be worth while. I don't know if anybody reads this, because I don't know where the hit tracker is on this site and nobody comments, so if you think this is a good idea, tell me.
This is a ceramic frog from the front store of a shop that sells similar things to this on Diversey as I headed back to my place. I don't know. I just kind of liked it.
Do not "Don". Again, I liked it. Tag at Whipple and Diversey, really close to my place. I'm thinking about seeing if I can run down to the Humboldt Wicker area one day and maybe take some pictures of tags and stickers and what not around. I think that sounds pretty good.
Oh, and I decided that cooking something I never made before is a part of this. So I made eggplant pizza on naan.
Turned out pretty okay. A little more Olive oil and time in the oven would have made them a little better, but overall it was great.
